We are a small independent business; a personal, one-off, specialist orthodontic practice, where everyone is genuinely treated as an individual and an obsessional hands-on owner pays great attention to every detail.

We are small enough to care, but big enough to deliver.

We are a team with big hearts and small hands.

We are quirky. Our décor can’t be branded. Our colourful London mural was chosen because we love the South Bank. Our waiting room resembles the Royal Albert Hall because we enjoy performance.

We are informal and relaxed. We are humorous. Laughter isn’t restricted to leisure hours. Working life consumes too much of the day not to see the funny side in working hours.

We are communicative and take time to listen, to understand your needs.

We are beautifully located.

Above all, we are professional, honest, diligent, reflective, aspirant for excellence and hard working.

From the foreward:

Infection prevention and control is everybody's business. In the current era where we confront exotic infections practically every few months, the dental practitioner, which includes each and every member of the dental team, has to be conversant and current with the principles and practice of infection control.

The second edition of Basic Guide to preuention and Infection control is a fitting and comprehensive guide to this rapidly and relentlessly evolving discipline. Both authors are doyens and acclaimed experts of their practice and they have left no stone unturned to provide the reader with a most readable, comprehensive and contemporaneous guide to the subject.

Being engaged in infection control seminars and discussions worldwide, what never ceases to amaze me is the rapidity with which new legislation on infection control evolves in various jurisdictions. This necessarily means that the practitioner has to be fully conversanr with the minute legislation, and how and why such pronouncements are made by the regulatory authorities. This book could be considered the most wide-ranging exposition of the legislative architecture of dental infection control as currently practised in the united Kingdom. It will nevertheless serve also as a masterful guide for any reader anywhere interested in infection prevention and control.

Written in a very lucid style and a logical manner, the book covers all conceivable aspects of infection control ranging from risk assessment to managing amalgam waste. Admirably, the authors accomplish their goal essentially in 200 pages of rext and figures!

I enjoyed perusing the narrative and the ample illustrations that complement the lucid text. I wish this book the success it truly deserves!

The closed road cycling sportive starting at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium, following a route through London, down into Surrey and back, finishing on The Mall. Popular with cyclists but not motorists. Most importantly, this event raises huge amounts for charities, including dental ones. Safe and enjoyable riding to all participating.

Everybody deserves the opportunity to have good oral health. Yet for 250,000 people in the UK who are currently homeless, maintaining the health of their mouth can be an incredibly difficult task.

Day-to-day, hour-by-hour, many homeless people face problems with their oral health and hygiene. Without a basic oral health routine, problems such as tooth decay and gum disease can quickly become major issues.

Alongside poor nutrition and the inability to access effective dental care, even the smallest problem can quickly escalate leading to prolonged pain and suffering. Poor oral health has also been linked to diabetes, heart disease and strokes. Without proper oral health intervention, homeless people in the UK could have a significantly lower quality of life.

To try and make a positive difference to the oral health of homeless people, our team at the Oral Health Foundation is raising money by taking part in the Summer Wolf Run 2019.

Working in co-ordination with Crisis, a national charity for single homeless people, we will make sure that your donations will give people the best opportunity possible to care for their oral health.

All money raised will go towards providing dental packs so that hundreds of homeless people have some of the basic tools and resources they are currently without.

The event takes place on Saturday 1 June 2019 at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire. Please donate what you can to our cause, it is greatly appreciated!

John Rhodes has an International reputation for excellence in Endodontics and has been accepting referrals for Endodontic treatment for over 25 years.

He established The Endodontic Practice, Parkstone, Poole in 2001 after completing Specialist training, working as an Endodontist in renowned Specialist practices in London and Fleet and organising the postgraduate training programme in Endodontics at Guy’s Hospital London.

The practice in Poole has grown considerably and now encompasses two full-time Endodontic surgeries. All treatment is undertaken using operating microscopes and the latest Specialist techniques, including on-site CBCT.

In 2013 John expanded the practice, offering additional surgery time at South Coast Dental Specialists in Dorchester; a purpose-built Specialist dental practice.

The Endodontic Practice is a single Speciality practice accepting referred patients from all over the South West of England and we are proud of our reputation for delivering consistently high-quality Endodontics to thousands of referred patients over many years.

The practice team are all highly trained and work hard to provide the best treatment experience in a relaxed and professional environment.

Some of you may already know that in 2-weeks time I’m taking part in the UK Ironman event (Sunday 15th July). I’m doing it for the Epidermolysis Bullosa charity DEBRA that does amazing work with this group of people

I’ve been training for the past year. For those that don’t know what an Ironman event involves it’s a long- distance triathlon comprising of the standard 3 disciplines of swim, bike and then run but all much longer than usual.

The swim leg is ‘open-water’ for 2.4 miles, the bike leg is 112 miles and then…. you run a marathon! It all must be completed within 17 hours. So it looks like I will miss the world cup final as it’s on the same day!

There’s more info on my Just Giving page and this is where you can donate/sponsor me.

Please take a look. Would love it if you could sponsor me and/or please forward to anyone that may want to support.

From me, and EB sufferers everywhere, many thanks for your support.
Chris :-)

I'm participating in the the Prudential RideLondon this year, riding as part of a team completing the 100 mile sportive on Sunday 29th July in order to raise funds for St Christopher's Hospice in South London.

St Christopher's was founded by Dame Cicely Sauders in 1967, widely considered to be the model for modern palliative care.

If you can spare a fiver (or more!) please do sponsor us! Thank you :)

The closed road cycling sportive starting at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium, following a route through London, down into Surrey and back, finishing on The Mall.

It is a massive fundraiser for charities, including of course dental ones.
